Gallery: Botanical Garden, Tallinn (1998)

Dimensions: 20m x 4m

Date: 1998

Materials: Bridge, rowan berries, roller

This worn out looking carpet across a bridge in the Botanical Gardens, Tallinn, Estonia, was made out of crushed rowan berries, a symbol of creative energy. The berries were collected from the woods by hundreds of local school children.  At dawn the carpet was covered in frogs and wagtails.
